Happy Nurses Week and a Big Thank You to my Sister-in-Love, Rosalyn!

While there's no recognized National Sister-in-Law Day on the calendar, it seemed like this week, for whatever reason, would be a great time to say Happy Sister-in-Love Day to my beloved sis-in-love, Rosalyn (Roz).

Then, I realized it's National Nurses Week, and guess what?

Yes, Roz is a loving, dedicated registered nurse working tirelessly in the field for 17 years with 15 of those years as an ER nurse in a busy city and hospital. If anyone is equipped for that pace of nursing, well, it's certainly my sis-in-love!

"To God be the glory!" says Roz, who is currently an in-house float RN.

Rosalyn wears many hats, including wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-love, sister, friend, caretaker, and more, but no matter her role, rest assured, she has it well covered in prayer.

With God as the front and center of her existence, Roz embraces her faith with full-on love and joy, so it's no surprise to me how supportive she has been of Rhyming with God: Poetic Prayers & ReflectionsDaughter of a wonderful pastor and first lady, Rosalyn's roots in praise and worship run deep.

Well-loved and well-supported, when Roz shared with her Facebook community that she had her copy of Rhyming with God in hand, her post received a high volume of supportive comments. My heart continues to thank my sis-star (as I often refer to her) for sharing the book with her loving community.

After reading a poem a day along with her other devotional readings, Roz has now completed the book.

Part of her Facebook post about Rhyming with God, says:

"...These writings will encourage and enlighten you as you grow closer in relationship with our Lord and Savior..."

To Roz, I say:

Again, thank you so much, my dear sis-star-in-love. for your love and support!

On this Nurses Week, I salute you and pray that God will continue to guide and bless your hands and heart in the many ways you serve with the heart of Christ.

May each patient you care for continue to feel God's love through you! You comfort them, you help them laugh, and you assist with their healing.

You ARE the hands and feet of Christ!!!

In and out of the workplace
Many are blessed by your love, humor, and joy
Thank you for sharing your bright light, Roz
And for sharing life with my beloved brother-in-love, Troy!

Happy Nurses Week, my sis-star! Keep shining, and keep making us laugh! LOL. We love you!!!
