I've long believed that life has a divine flow, and when I'm flowing with that flow, well, I know. This is one of the seasons in my life that, with certainty, I know I'm in divine flow. I'm not saying that every day is free of frustrations or challenges, but this flow is a rhythm my soul knows and is deeply grateful for!
That said, it's interesting that a few months ago, Etta Hornsteiner, founder of LiveLiving International Foundation, invited me to interview Brian Plachta, author of Finding Flow: Spiritual Practices to Reclaim Inner Peace, Balance, and Wholeness. I was pleased to do so as a board member of the Foundation, but also because of my personal interest in the sacred, ancient contemplative practices explained in Brian's book.
Brian and I had an extended conversation via our Zoom interview. Then, what flowed was an invitation from him to join a 6-month Contemplative Leaders Circle he was coordinating. I accepted, and have thoroughly enjoyed the three monthly meetings we've had so far! It's "life-giving" (using one of the terms in Brian's book) to be in heartfelt discussion with other leaders of contemplative practices about the spiritual work we're doing and the tools we use to grow in and flow with Christ.
The next part of this divine flow
Brian has now created a 6-week online course called the
Divine Flow Workshop for anyone feeling overwhelmed by life’s noise and craving more peace, clarity, and connection with God. For those of you who have read my book,
Rhyming with God: Poetic Prayers & Reflections, or have attended the Christ-Centered "Stretch, Strengthen & Relax" class I teach in my community, you know
this is my jam, as the saying goes. Brian is speaking my language, especially because in his live, guided workshop (90 minutes per session), participants will learn to:
• "Slow down and find inner peace
• Listen more deeply for God’s voice
• Let go of anxiety and live from a grounded, grace-filled place"
Again, since these are also key elements of my book and class, I am honored to have been invited to offer a brief presentation (15 minutes) on one of the four time-tested spiritual practices that Brian's workshop will cover.
So, if you’ve been longing for a spiritual reset—or just need some soul-deep support—I highly recommend checking out the Divine Flow Workshop. You'll receive journaling tools, plus lifetime access to all the session replays in case you can’t attend live.
If interested, here's the link to learn more and sign up. There, you'll also see your options for getting the workshop for free.
In finding flow with God,
Penny
